Newnan Dermatology Upgrades Phone System

As our practice has grown, it became increasingly clear that our conventional “KSU” analog phone system was no longer able to handle the demand. Too many callers ended up waiting on hold, and it was too difficult to reach the right person when you needed to.

Realizing this, we embarked on a search for the best solution. We have found it in our new partner, Vocalocity. Vocalocity is a “home grown” Atlanta-based company, the second largest “hosted PBX provider” in the U.S. We have linked our office into their highly sophisticated IP phone network, located “in the Cloud.” What that means is that our phone system no longer works over “plain old telephone lines,” but rather, over the Internet. We are connected remotely to Vocalocity’s powerful servers—“in the cloud”—giving us access to technology that previously only huge corporations could afford.

Need to make an appointment? We have phone receptionists now automatically backed up with additional personnel if call volume increases—so no long on-hold times. Need a prescription refill? Don’t wait, just “Press 4” and one of our medical staff will handle it for you. We now have a dedicated line for physicians’ offices, so that if your doctor must reach us on an urgent basis, the call will immediately be answered.

This is another example of our commitment to put your needs and preferences as our highest priority.
